Crystal's Voice

Crystal is a survivor of strangulation, a single mother, and a client of Kelsey's who has helped improve how strangulation cases are prosecuted across the country. Although many people can relate to the hardships of being a single parent, Crystal has experienced victimization and trauma that only survivors of this crime can truly understand.

This holiday season, Kelsey started a Go Fund Me page to help Crystal give her children the special Christmas and life they deserve.

If you have donated to Crystal and her children, here is how your donation has already helped.

"Looking at the tree, thinking that a bunch of strangers made this possible, all I can do is cry!!! I haven’t felt this feeling in so many years! Even if it’s temporary, I’m soaking up every minute of it!!! My kids love it! It brought out the holiday spirit in all of us. I’ll never forget it!!!" - Crystal

Crystal's daughter suffers with kidney failure, as well as liver, thyroid, and heart complications. We were able to buy 50 lbs. of fresh meat, which will not only help maintain the doctor recommended limited diet for Crystal's daughter, but it will help feed the whole family.

All Crystal's son wanted for Christmas this year was to have Christmas. With the donations, we bought a tree, lights, ornaments and stockings!

A Thank You From Crystal:

I just want to thank each and every person that made this possible! Telling your kids "we’re not able to have Christmas this year" is one of the most heartbreaking things ever! As a mom, especially a single mom, you’re expected to make everything work, happen - figure a way out - no matter what. This year, I just wasn’t able to. It hurt me to the core.

Then, Kelsey surprises me with what seems unbelievable. Words cannot express how grateful my heart is for everyone’s kindness, caring, generosity to think of our family at this time of year. Thank you all! My kids were so joyful and thankful to have a Christmas tree, decorations, and food! They have no idea about the presents! This is definitely the BEST Christmas ever!

This makes me still believe in Christmas miracles! God bless each and everyone of you and your families. I love you all! Thanks you again and again from the bottom of my heart, it is full of love!! I can’t say enough of how much I appreciate everyone!

Happy Holidays!
